Henley Royal Regatta takes place on the River Thames, in the picturesque town of Henley-on-Thames.

The Stewards' and Regatta Enclosures are located on the Berkshire bank, within easy walking distance of Henley town and train station.

To reduce the impact of traffic on the town, we encourage you to use public transport where possible.

Henley-on-Thames is located 13 miles from Junction 8/9 on the M4, and 16 miles from Junction 4 on the M40.

The most convenient taxi drop-off is the town centre, a short walk from the Regatta site.

Directions

by train

Trains run frequently to Henley-on-Thames from London (Paddington), with a special timetable operated by Great Western Railway for the duration of the Regatta.

Schedules for bus services will be published nearer the to event. The closest bus station is in Henley-on-Thames town centre, a 10-minute walk from the Enclosures.

Directions

Henley-on-Thames is located 13 miles from Junction 8/9 on the M4, and 16 miles from Junction 4 on the M40.

Please use postcode RG9 2LP to find your way to the Official Car Parks on the Berkshire side, and as you approach Henley, follow the directions provided for either RECTANGULAR or CIRCULAR labels.

Use postcode RG9 2HY to find your way to our Official Hospitality at Fawley Meadows, and as you approach Henley, follow the directions provided for TRIANGULAR labels.

Traffic Flow

A one-way system operates in Henley-on-Thames town centre during the Royal Regatta.

Depending on the time you arrive and depart the event, there is a different route in and out of the car parks.

Car Parks

Daily parking can be booked in advance up to 24 June, or can be purchased on arrival at gate, subject to availability.

The official Regatta car parks open daily from 07:30 and the gates are locked at 21:00 - no overnight parking is permitted.

Please note, our car parks are not suitable for coaches, caravans, motorbikes or commercial vehicles.

Please ensure that you follow the signage that matches the symbol on your car park hanger (CIRCULAR, RECTANGULAR or TRIANGULAR) when travelling to the event.

If you have opted to collect your car park hanger, this must be done prior to the day of your visit.  There will be no access to the Regatta car parks if you arrive without a valid car park hanger.

Official HRR Car Parks

It is a condition of using the car parks that neither Henley Royal Regatta nor its Agents or Servants shall be liable for any loss, injury or damage to:

(a) any vehicle and/or motor or pedal cycle, or motorised or manual wheelchair or scooter;

(b) anything in or about any such vehicle or conveyance;

(c) any other belongings left in the car park, whether unattended or not; any injury to any person coming on to the car parks, however such loss, damage or injury may be caused or sustained. PLEASE LOCK YOUR CAR.

Noise nuisance and/or socially unacceptable behaviour will bring the Regatta into disrepute and measures will be taken against anyone acting inappropriately.

It is essential for the Regatta to provide guaranteed and immediate access for emergency vehicles to any point within the car parks and to allow space for cars to enter and exit throughout the day without impediment.

Fixed structures (e.g. gazebos, awnings, etc.) may only be placed within the demarcating lines of the reserved box to ensure access. Chairs and tables or rugs may stray outside of the box, however, no items can be left unattended within the access aisles at any time.

Failure to comply with our conditions or show a lack of consideration to others may result in the loss of your space.

We kindly ask that if you have an issue with your parking space that cannot be resolved by your car parking attendant, that you report it to the Badge Office on the day of your visit.
