a private and stunning location
Temple Island is situated a mile and a half downstream of the picturesque market town of Henley-on-Thames, on one of the most beautiful stretches of the River Thames.
Located amidst rolling water meadows and surrounded by wooded hills, it marks the Start of the famous Henley Royal Regatta Course.
Outside of the Regatta period, Temple Island is available for hire from April through to the end of October.
This unique venue provides a fairytale setting for wedding receptions and family parties, as well as a private location for corporate functions.
Exclusive for the Day
On Temple Island we can accommodate for up to 40 guests in the main Etruscan Room or with the addition of an elegant marquee, up to 120 can be hosted on the Island.
We can also recommend local celebrants for a blessing on the Island, either in the Etruscan room or outdoors on the front lawn. Whilst the Island does not have a licence for wedding ceremonies, there are churches and a registry office nearby, or you may choose to complete the legal formalities elsewhere.
We are pleased to offer you the flexibility to structure your day to suit your exact requirements; whatever you choose, we will always be on hand to help and offer suggestions.
