Summer Internship

We are recruiting for a summer placement student to work in the Event Organiser’s Office for approximately six weeks, prior to and during this year’s Regatta – 2 - 7 July 2024.

The successful candidate will be involved in the final preparations for the event, gaining valuable, practical work experience.  The role is to include the day-to-day management of the site construction, contractors and utilities, as well as all event accreditation.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to interface at all levels within the organisation, with contractors, the general public and other third parties. Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential to the role, and candidates should be computer literate.

Previous event experience is preferred but not essential. Although this is a placement position, it is a paid role.

Mail Order Supervisor

TEMPORARY Contract

Join our small, friendly team at Regatta Headquarters in Henley-on-Thames, full time over the Regatta period from early June to mid-July. Potential for flexible hours e.g. to fit school hours.

Responsible for managing the mail order operation, including processing, packing and dispatching web and telephone orders, and managing stock movements, including updating the website.

Successful candidates will have attention to detail, speed and efficiency, good customer service skills and competent IT skills.

Retail Staff

Fixed-Term Contracts

We are currently seeking temporary retail staff for various full-time roles during the 2024 Henley Royal Regatta. These positions involve engaging directly with customers, handling sales, and managing stock in a dynamic, event-driven environment.

Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a well-organised sales area. Prior experience in retail, customer service, and basic inventory management is preferred, but not essential for the right candidates.

At a minimum, applicants must be available to work:

  • At least one day between Thursday, 27th June and Monday, 1st July
  • Every day from Tuesday, 2nd July to Saturday, 6th July

Longer-term positions are available, running from Monday, 10th June to Wednesday, 24th July.
