Reading University will be very well drilled, being the foremost sculling university in the UK. Coached by Will Rand, this boat contains U23 trialists within it which provides a mouthwatering spectacle against a strong German crew.
8. 9:10 Temple Challenge Cup 130 Durham University ‘A’ v 166 Princeton University ‘B’, USA
Both crews produced the same time to the barrier yesterday so this should be a good match up between two powerhouses of their respective nations university.
17. 10:05 Temple Challenge Cup 127 D.S.R. Laga ‘B’, NED v 161 Oxford Brookes University. ‘B’.
The Oxford Brookes crew have a very strong squad mixing experience with veterans of HRR against an outfit from a storied Dutch rowing club.
21. 10:30 Princess Royal Challenge Cup 756 C.E Armstrong v 759 A. Hayes, IRL.
Both of these competitors have won at HWR so it will be interesting to see if this translates to the HRR course.
34. 11:45 Wyfold Challenge Cup 381 Neusser R.V., GER v 390 Seeclub Zürich, SUI
Both foreign crews who will be in it to win, Seeclub Zürich face off against seeded crew Neusser R.V.
35. 11:50 Diamonds Challenge Sculls 723 S.N.B. Cox, ZIM v 718 J.Bakker, NED
In this elite men's single event, Olympic representative S.N.B Cox goes up against Dutch U23 representative J. Bakker.

Both of these crews had comfortable wins yesterday and are fairly evenly matched for speed so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Two programs that have improved tremendously over the past few years, KCS came out on top at the National Schools Regatta in May but these crews should be evenly matched.

The fastest schoolboy crew in New Zealand faces off against the winners of last year's event in the first real test for each at this Regatta.

Two clubs based on the Tideway in London from clubs with a history of strong eights racing.

One of the UK’s strongest club rowing squads goes up against arguably its American University counterpart. These two last met in the 2016 final when a California steering error gave Thames the win just inside the enclosures.
