Emma Dodd studied at St Martin's School of Art in London. 

Since qualifying in the early 1990s she has worked as a children's author and illustrator, with over the 250 titles to her name.

In recent years Emma has fulfilled a long held ambition and taken up oil painting. She exhibits through social media and has achieved some success. 

Emma is particularly interested in portraying light on water. 

A keen walker, cyclist and rower, Emma is a member of the Women's Masters' Squad at Tideway Scullers' School in  Chiswick.
