Grace Prendergast

Grace is a distinguished New Zealand rower and Olympic champion. She is 32 years old and currently works as a Consultant at The Search, specialising in finding leaders in the People, Talent, and Marketing space.


Grace grew up in Christchurch and began her rowing journey at Avon Rowing Club. She attended Villa Maria College and later graduated with a Masters in Business Studies and Human Resource Management from Massey University, NZ, and a Masters in Philosophy from Cambridge University.


Grace is a double Olympic medallist, a five-time World
Champion and a 15-time national champion. She competed in two boat classes at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, winning Gold in the coxless pairs and Silver in the eight. When studying at Cambridge in 2022, she rowed in the winning Cambridge Boat Race crew. She has twice been the highest ranked female rower in the world, according to the World Rowing Federation rankings.


Professionally, Grace works hard to develop high-performance teams and create strong organisational cultures. She aims to motivate teams to improve their culture, effectiveness and overall performance by drawing on her diverse background of skills and her unique perspective.


In addition to her professional endeavours, Grace remains committed to the sporting community through mentoring, sports commentary, speaking engagements and project work. She is passionate about sharing her experiences with the next generation of athletes, providing guidance to help them achieve their goals and realise the power of sport.

Gerritjan Eggenkamp

Gerritjan is 49 years old. He was born in Leiden, in the Netherlands, and started rowing at the age of 12 at Het Spaarne rowing club in Heemstede. He first competed internationally at the 1993 Junior World Championships.

He went on to compete as a Senior at five World Championships and two Olympic Games, winning a Silver medal in the men’s eight Athens in 2004. In 2002, he became the first Dutch rower to compete in the Boat Race, rowing in the winning Oxford crew.

Gerritjan is a Partner at Avedon Capital Partners, a private equity fund he joined in 2012.

Prior to Avedon, he worked for eight years at McKinsey & Company, focusing on strategic and corporate finance related projects in the logistics, transport and infrastructure sectors.

Gerritjan holds an MSc in Applied Computer Science from Delft University and an MSc in Management Research from Oxford University.

Since retiring from rowing, Gerritjan has remained involved in the sport in an organisational capacity. He was Chair of the Organising Committee for the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam in 2014. He currently sits on the World Rowing Executive Committee, and since September 2018, he has held the position of Treasurer, having been elected with the unanimous support of Congress.

Cameron Nichol

Cameron is 37 years old. He is a medical doctor, a two- time World Championship silver medallist, a former Olympic rower and founder of RowingWOD, a company dedicated to inspiring and empowering anyone to master the sport of rowing.


Cam was born in Roehampton and attended Millfield School and qualified as a Doctor from University College London Medical School. He currently works as a NHS Partner GP at Runnymede Medical Practice alongside his work as a GP at Prime Health. He holds a post-graduate certification in Strategic Leadership and Medical Education in Healthcare, as well as a post-graduate diploma in Sports Medicine from the International Olympic Committee.


He started rowing whilst studying medicine and quickly gained selection for the British team. He keeps strong ties with UL and Molesey Rowing Club.
Cam has been practising as a doctor in the NHS since 2015. His passion for elite performance, both for individuals and across teams, has led to his work as an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur and a coach to the UK’s first team to reach the CrossFit Games. In addition, he is an accredited International Olympic Committee sports physician, attending the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as part of the medical team.


He is also active in the start-up scene, where he has founded his own venture RowingWOD, and he advises others around health, fitness and fit-tech. He has worked with many elite sportspeople, executives, armed forces personnel and regular gym-goers to enable them to overcome challenges and solve problems.


His knowledge from his time as an athlete, as a medical doctor and coach, and as an entrepreneur, gives him a unique perspective on how individuals and teams can succeed, whatever their chosen field.
He is a huge supporter of Henley Royal Regatta and has been volunteering as part of the Commentary Team since 2021.


Cam is married to Lizzy and has two children.

Elise Sherwell

Elise rowed for Thames Rowing Club, Leander Club and Thames Valley Skiff Club. She was a member of the British Rowing Team for 12 years between 1996 and 2008, competing at three Olympic Games. She won Bronze medals in 2004 and 2008. Along the way, she won two World Championship Bronze medals and in 2007 she won the Championship of the Thames Wingfield Sculls. She is also a Skiff Champion.

Elise was born in Rustington, West Sussex and was educated in Worthing before gaining a Batchelor of Arts, Double Bass, at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She later qualified as a Solicitor, gaining her law degree at the College of Law.


Since retiring from rowing Elise has focussed on cycling, regularly competing in (and winning) both road and mountain bike events.


Elise currently works as an Associate Solictor in a Commercial Property team in Chichester. She has worked with a number of sports governing bodies and sports clubs, assisting with acquisition and leases on sports venues. She has also been involved in British Rowing’s Dispute Resolution Panel

William Stonor

William Stonor, 8th Baron Camoys is 50 years old. He is a hereditary peer and a Conservative member of the House of Lords. He was educated locally in Henley at St. Mary’s School, before moving to Eton College and the University of Manchester, from where he graduated with a BA in History.

Thomas, 3rd Baron Camoys, was one of the members of the town of Henley that introduced the Regatta in 1839. William will be the eighth Stonor to serve as a Steward of the Regatta. He has always been a regular attendee.

William is an experienced CEO and Chair and holds a number of executive and non-executive positions, as well as being a trustee of several charities. After graduating from Manchester, he worked for private equity firms in London and Bristol, before joining the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as a diplomat. He served in Afghanistan, India and London as the leader of a counter-terrorism team. In 2009, he founded Ilex Partners Limited, a financial advisory firm focused on Asia, and spent six years living and working in Beijing. In 2020, he co-founded Marlow Film Studios. He is Chair of the Trustees for Nepal Nature Trust, an International Member of the Governing Board of Trustees for Nepal’s National Trust for Nature Conservation, a Trustee of The Wormsley Estate, and a Committee Member for Historic Houses, Thames & Chilterns Region. He runs the family estate, Stonor Park, and since taking over the custodianship, has reinvented their commercial offering and programme of events.
