New Steward Elected for 2021

Stewards' December Meeting 2020.

Today, Henley Royal Regatta is delighted to announce the election of Debbie Bruwer (Flood) as a Steward.

Debbie has represented Great Britain on numerous occasions, first winning a Bronze medal at the 1998 Junior World Championships in the double sculls, followed by two Gold medals at the World Under 23 Championships; one in the double sculls in 1999 and one in the single sculls in 2000.  She won Silver medals in the quadruple sculls at both the Athens 2004 and the Beijing 2008 Olympics, and won Gold at the 2006, 2007 and 2010 World Championships, again in the quadruple sculls. 

Sir Steve Redgrave CBE, Chairman of the Regatta’s Committee of Management, said: 

We’re delighted to elect Debbie as a Steward. The Stewards are a tribute to the long-standing history of the Regatta; we look forward to Debbie joining the team at the Regatta. I'm sure she will be a great asset to the event.”
