“Regates a Henley” by Raoul Dufy (1933)

Raoul Dufy (3 June 1877 – 23 March 1953) was a French Fauvist painter and designer noted for his brightly coloured and highly decorative scenes. Dufy travelled extensively within France and abroad, painting scenes of horse racing and regattas.

This card features the painting ‘Régates à Henley’, one from a series of works that explore Henley Royal Regatta, with participants and spectators blended together to create a colourful and lively scene.
