Sue Evans is a local artist and has lived in the Henley area for the past 20 years. Sue was accepted to the Liverpool art college and in recent years has come to love painting land and seascapes. She is a member of the Reading Guild of Artists and the Henley Arts and Crafts guild, regularly contributing to exhibitions in the Oxfordshire and Berkshire area and receiving various commissions and commendations for her work. She recently won the Mollie Staley award for the best picture in Henley Arts and Crafts exhibition.
Sue takes her inspiration for her Henley pictures from the sunlight and colours of the river and town. In her imagination at least, it’s always sunny during the Regatta and Festival and this is conveyed in her use of bright primary colours and evocative textures and shapes, typically through the medium of oils and acrylics. She aims to capture the fun, and celebratory spirit of Henley and the river during the Regatta and hopes that they make those looking at her pictures smile!
These paintings are acrylic on board adn oil on board ranging from £95 to £170
