Thank you for your interest in applying for Membership of the Stewards' Enclosure.
Established in 1919, 80 years after the founding of Henley Regatta, the Stewards' Enclosure was set up as a private members' club to protect the future of the event and to provide an exclusive area for rowing supporters to enjoy the racing.
Competing at Henley Royal Regatta is considered to be a highlight in a rower's career, and Membership of the Stewards' Enclosure gives the best access to this prestigious event. The organisation is overseen by a self-electing body of Stewards, most of whom are renowned rowers, scullers, coaches or administrators.
Who can join?

Membership of the Stewards' Enclosure is an inclusive club and the Henley Royal Regatta team are always pleased to receive new applications.
Aspiring candidates must be proposed and seconded by two current Members, and preference is given to those who have competed at the Regatta, have some particular connection with the event, have otherwise rowed or sculled at a high level, or have a close involvement with the sport of rowing.
Applications cannot be accepted from candidates under the age of 18 years, unless they have already competed at Henley Royal Regatta*.

What do I receive?
Membership benefits
Every year Members receive a unique and collectable metal badge which provides unlimited entry to the Enclosures across the six day annual event. Members also have exclusive access to the Members' Grandstand and the Floating Barge, both offering excellent vantage points to watch the racing, as well as the best view of the Finish Line.
We aim to provide our Members and their Guests with unparalleled opportunities to enjoy the Regatta in style and to have a truly unforgettable experience, with exclusive ticket access, excellent facilities and high-quality dining during the event. In addition, our expert team are always on hand to provide year-round support, and we have partnered with a number of prestigious brands, offering you access to exclusive events, opportunities and offers.
Members benefit from being able to purchase additional Guest badges to invite friends, family and colleagues to enjoy this highlight of both the summer sporting calendar and social season.

All applications must be supported by two current Members, and candidates will be required to pay an Application Fee prior to being added to the Waiting List.
Application Fees:
- The standard fee is £75
- Past Competitors* benefit from a reduced fee of £25

The approximate length of time a candidate can expect to wait before being elected is between four and ten years.
Candidates on the Waiting List have the option to opt-in to receive regular emails with access to exclusive offers and benefits.
