The Regatta Enclosure

Special Arrangements for School Parties

The Regatta is pleased to encourage schools to take an active interest in rowing by making available Badges for the Regatta Enclosure at a discounted party rate on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Badge prices per person are Wednesday £11, Thursday £11 and Friday £14. A discount of 10% will be allowed for an order of ten or more entrance Badges for these days provided they are purchased in advance between 1st May and 25th June. Standard prices apply for Saturday or Sunday. As it is a requirement that members of Staff shall take charge of the party, there will be one free Badge for Staff use for every ten ordered. Badges are non-refundable after purchase. To avoid the risk of loss in transit, orders must be delivered by “Business Post” courier, or Royal Mail Special Delivery, for an additional £5.50 fee*. (A signature will be required on delivery.)

Schools are reminded that picnics are not allowed in the Regatta Enclosure itself. A Regatta Enclosure Badge also permits access to the Boat Tent Area where the Café Regatta is located for the use of Crews and their supporters.

Please preserve any items purchased carefully as Badges and Bus park labels that are lost, damaged, defaced or unavailable for whatever reason will not be replaced without full payment and subject to availability.

School minibuses, or coaches, will be permitted to park in Fawley Meadows on the Buckinghamshire bank opposite the Enclosures, adjacent to the hospitality village. A special permit is required at a cost of £25 per day. Access is via the A4155 Marlow Road.

No viewing of racing will be permitted from the Fawley Meadows riverbank.

In order to avoid severe delays, vehicles should not cross Henley Bridge from the town centre towards the Regatta land on the Berkshire bank. Due to traffic flow considerations, it is regretted that minibuses or coaches will not be admitted on to Regatta land for dropping off or picking up passengers, even though they are not remaining there. Subject to necessary supervision, particularly on the crowded bridge pavements, it is recommended that the party either walks from Fawley Meadows to the Regatta, about 15 minutes, or that passengers first leave the vehicle at a suitable location in the town centre and walk from there across Henley Bridge.

Alternatively a special timetable operates during the event and the station is about a fifteen-minute walk from the Regatta Enclosure.

*Please note that the insured courier service is unavailable at this price for dispatch anywhere outside UK/EU. Applicants with a delivery address in any other location should consult the Badge Office for details of the cost of other options.
