Henley Royal Regatta attracts over 300,000 spectators each year and is one of the most prestigious sporting and social occasions in the world.
A summer placement is available to a student to work in the Event Organiser’s Office for six weeks prior to, and during, this year’s Regatta, 28th June to 2nd July 2017. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the final stages of organising this high profile event thus gaining valuable practical work experience. The role is likely to include day to day management of the site construction, contractors and utilities.
Candidates must have excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to interface at all levels within the organisation as well as with contractors, the general public and other third parties. Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential and candidates should be computer literate.
Although this is a placement position, it is a paid role and Henley Royal Regatta will also make a contribution towards subsistence and travel for the right candidate, as well as paying for local accommodation if required.
